How Do I Link My Canada Visa Application Online?
How Do I Link My Canada Visa Application Online

If you have submitted an application for a visa or immigration to Canada and it has not yet been processed, you can link it online. This will help you to receive all communications with CIC through your GCMS account, such as biometric requests, medical requests, and passport requests.

During the process of applying for a visa, you will be asked to answer a questionnaire. This questionnaire will ask you questions about your personal information, reasons for visiting Canada, and previous travel history.

1. Log in to your GCMS account

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) use a centralized system called GCMS to track all temporary (visitor, study or work visa) and permanent immigration and citizenship applications. Each GCMS note contains correspondence from IRCC and CBSA, detailed notes of immigration officers who reviewed your application, supporting documents and other information.

GCMS uses a combination of Gas Chromatography (GC) and Mass Spectrometry (MS). In the GC, each separated compound exits a column coated with a stationary phase and is propelled by an inert carrier gas. The ionization of the sample causes each of the compounds to break into smaller particles and separate into ions, which have specific masses. These ions are then sorted according to their individual ion spectra against reference spectra. The result is a more accurate and comprehensive analysis with lower detection limits and a wider range of compounds that can be detected.

In 1950, Fred McLafferty and Roland Gohlke, two Dow Co. researchers, added MS to GC and revolutionized chemical analysis. The addition of MS broke chromatographic retention time down to a more precise measurement. The ions’ trajectories are also affected by electric and magnetic fields, so each of the components coming off the GC can be analyzed separately.

CBC News has discovered that 59,456 open or pending applications are assigned to 779 former employees or dormant computer placeholder codes that aren’t working within IRCC’s administrative system as of this February. They include a Montreal-based code that last logged in October 2006 and a Edmonton-based code that was last logged in May 2007. Bote, a PR applicant who is currently assigned to an inactive code, says she’s “pretty appalled” by the practice.

3. Select the application you want to link

The GCMS site is chock full of information to help you along your journey from application to e-visa. One of the first things you should do is select which application you’d like to link. This is especially important if you’re trying to link a number of applications for the same person - it will save you a headache later on down the line. After you’ve done that, you can move on to the next stage of the process. Lastly, you’ll need to decide which information you want to display on your home page. The best place to start is by checking out the top rated applications.

4. Click “Link Application”

When you apply for a Canada Visa, you’ll need to link your application online. This will allow you to track your application and receive messages from us about it.

To link an application, you must first log in to your GCMS account and then go to the “Link an Existing Application” page. Once you’ve done this, you can then select the application you want to link.

Then, you must enter the same information that you entered on your original application. If you made any updates after you submitted your application, make sure to include the most recent information.

Some applications can’t be linked, so check with IRCC before you try to link your application.

Depending on your family’s situation, they may need to apply for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). This is a document that lets them travel to Canada.

If your dependents need a TRV or eTA, you’ll need to help them fill out the necessary forms before they arrive in Canada. You can also send them copies of your study permit, Temporary Resident Visa and passport so they can present these documents when they arrive.

Your family can stay in Canada for up to six months as visitors. If they plan to stay for longer, you’ll need to apply for a study permit or work permit so they can continue their studies or find work in Canada.

Once your dependents have a study permit, they can apply for a permanent resident (landed immigrant) visa and stay in Canada permanently. If they’re going to work in Canada, they will need a temporary resident visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization before they can begin working.

5. Select the application you want to link

When you select the application you want to link, it will ask you a few questions about the reason for your visit. Then, it will let you know if you are eligible for that visa or not. This step can take a while, so make sure you have time to complete it.

If you are applying for a visitor visa, you will need to provide supporting documents to support the purpose of your visit. These can include flight tickets, accommodation, and travel itineraries. You can also include information about your previous travel history if you have one.

To make this process easier, we have created an online form for you to fill out. The form is available on our website and you can fill it out using Adobe Reader. Once you have completed the form, save it and upload it. Then, you can continue with the rest of your application.

After you’ve submitted the form, it will be validated by IRCC. This will ensure that the information on your form is accurate and up-to-date. This is important, because the form will not be accepted if it’s incorrect or out of date. In addition, if you made any changes to your application after you submitted it, be sure to update the information in the form as well.

Once you’ve linked your Canada Visa Application Online, you will no longer receive paper letters about your application. All messages and updates will appear in your account. This will help you stay on top of all the latest information, and will prevent you from missing any important information that may be related to your application.
